It is not only possible to carry out conflicts non-violently - this is also something that can be learned. In the Workshop's seminars and events we develop campaigns (for example against the production of landmines or against built-down of social security systems), we train civil courage (for example in the context of xenophobia or sexism) and carry out mediations (for example in conflicts in urban districts).
In a non-violence training new perspectives to act arise for situations to which a person felt powerlessly exposed. A seminar participant expressed it like this: "In the training I experienced how concrete non-violence can be and what a great variety of creative possibilities is at a group's disposal."
Furthermore members of the Workshop are involved in the development of concepts for civil conflict handling and conflict solving (for example the 'Ziviler Friedensdienst' (Civil Peace Service - a service organised in co-operation between government and non-government agencies under the German Development Workers Act).
