Opening of the exhibition "A people offers civil resistance - about the rescue of the Jews in Denmark in 1943" with the jewish Dane Salle Fischermann, who witnessed and experienced the events himself.

Developing a Culture of Non-Violence

Every day many people experience violence and war, discrimination and absence of freedom. To remain passive or to defend oneself violently to many seem the only options.

The Workshop, in contrast, offers hopeful and constructive non-violent alternatives. This means identifying conflicts, carry them out in a non-violent manner and offer non-violent resistance.

The Workshop provides a space for learning in which one can experience that the world can be changed - also without violence. These have been the bearing thoughts of the Werkstatt für Gewaltfreie Aktion, Baden ('Workshop for Non-violent Action, southern German Region 'Baden'') since its foundation as a peace-political educational institution and a training centre in 1984.
